What 5-speed out of the salvage yard would be the best fit for and early A. 66 Barracuda with '84 318 to be specific.

Since I can't sell the car, I might as well start thinking about making it into something I want.

I'm not hot rodding and won't be going to the strip with it, I just want a good gas mileage daily driver stock engine setup.

There has been some success installing a Toyota Supra Turbo 5 spd. Do an internet search or check over on Moparts.

I assume that is the older rear wheel drive models?

What about the 2WD Toy pickups? are they the same transmission?

2 wd Dakota v-6 or v8 with AX15 ('88 - '96?). If you find one with a 3.9/5.2 you can use just about everything. No special parts.
