Just thought I’d share some pics and info on this rebuild that I’ve been working on for the last year. I will have the car done and back on the street/track by spring. Here’s some pics of what the car looked like before I cut it apart.

Cut the rear out and back halved and 4 linked it. Converted the car from a Dart Sport to an Early Duster. Also cut some weight out of it while still adding more cage.

Found some more power in the motor also while still keeping it on 93 pump gas. Added some compression, tunnel ram with 1050 dominators and built a custom set of 2 3/8” headers. It really made this 572 real happy.

I like the 70 nose, hope your going to put a 70 tail light panel in to finish it off.

What was it running on the strip in the old configuration? I always enjoy seeing progress, as I believe most people here do, so keep the updates coming as you proceed.

The old setup was running 9.6 at 140 on Super Stock leaf springs, full interior and all steel.

That's bad ***! Did you get that glass front sold? Nice numbers with the tunnel ram. Sounds great!

I was planning on running the 315 Pro’s and that’s whats on it in the pics above but I think I’m going to switch to a 275 Pro since there are more street classes with the 275.

It’s a dual Milodon swinging external pickup pump setup. We use spray bars for the rockers and springs but we built our own oil system inside the block to feed pressurized oil to the roller lifters for all the street driving.

Dang, that is impressive! Here is a snapshot of my new one. Thinking about putting a vacuum pump on it, can’t decide if it’s worth it.

Very nice. My old setup made 943hp on the engine Dyno but that was with big Dyno headers. I was running small headers on the car and it hurt it a lot. My car was 3,750 with me in it.

I`m wondering how the 5 and 6 tubes on the 2 3/8'' headers, are going to clear anything. the 7-8 tubes look a little hairy to me too ! I use to run hemi headers the that 5-7 came out over the frame rail in to the wheel well, and no. 8 on the pass. side. ????????????????
