Is there a small block rod that is 6.125? I'm looking at a piston that uses this rod length. Or is it a typo?

Yes, there is a small block Chevy rod(400" I *think*) that is 6.125. You have to turn the rod journal down on a small block crank. I have a combo for a stroker small block that uses that rod size plus a sbc piston. For me the biggest gain is how much lighter and cheaper the parts are.

The mopar rods are 6.123... you wouldn't even notice the difference.

If you use the SBC rods, the rod widths are different and require machining. Using the smaller crankpin diameter has some benefit.

My 2 cents, use the mopar rod and take an additional .002 off the deck, if zero decking, to make up for it.
