I have a '75 Slant with about 100k on it along with the 904 and 7 1/4 rear. The engine ran fine with no unusual noise and no smoke but it does leak from the usual places. I drove the car about 50 miles before parting it out and there were no drivability issues at all. Rear is LBP, of course, with 10" drums and has 2.96:1 gears on an open diff. Engine and trans are still attached.
