6 pack hood

about to buy a 6 pack hood for my 71 dustar from fiberglass reproduction and wondering if i need a ram isolator plate with the hood. any help is great.

You're going to have to explain to me what a ram isolator plate is first, I'm not sure.

thats what i dont understand. i guess ill have to call up the company.

its a thing that goes under the fiberglass hood.... and it has a large cut out for a air filter, and i guess its suppose to make the air go to the filter instead of it going everywhere and then some to the filter

Okay Jon, if this is a "ram air intake sealing housing" then I would say that I like "not" having one on the underside of my 6 pak hood cuss it tends to let a lot of the engine heat out in stop and go traffic. When I first installed the hood I noticed that the engine temp. does not climb as fast as it did before with the stock flat hood.
