/6 to 360ci swap

I am sure there is at least one thread on this somewhere, just can't find it.

I am pretty sure I know what I need. The only question I have, as I have read so many conflicting articles is the internal / external balancing subject.

Now, I have the 360 with the 360 converter. Is this all I need? Or do I need one of the flex plates the like summit sell for the conversion?

273-318-340 are internally balanced. 360 is externally balanced. If you are using a 360 balanced converter, then you are ok. I always just balance a flex plate (about 50 bucks), then I can use the converters that I use with 318's and 340's.
 
you just need the matching weighted 360 converter. the balanced flexplate is for non weighted converters to use with the 360

If you have the proper 360 converter, you don't need the special flex plate.


If you have a 340 converter for a 360, then you need the special flex plate....
