A few years after I painted my '62 V-200 the paint began to craze, and it got worse and worse over time. It's been about 11 years since then and a re-paint is well overdue.
I believe the old paint crazed because the primer and surfacer layers shrank, but I don't understand why they did. I didn't think I had applied them too thick.
Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of the body being prepared for re-paint and of the front chassis brace installation, a MagnumForce kit*.
Later I'll try to post pictures of the rear torque plate installation and of the body just before it goes to paint.
*MagnumForce doesn't advertise the kit as fitting a '62. It had to be modified.
