New 2 all this but here I go! Having trouble with my rear window switch in the tailgate. Have to jiggle it to work and then the window has a jerky motion. Switch has to b replaced for sure but maybe the motor 2. Can't find any info. on either. If any 1 has any information on the tailgate electrical parts I would highly appreciate it. thanks and look forward to meeting every1!

Electric tailgate window? Wow! Both my wagons are manual crank....

You're lucky.

I would replace or jump the switch before replacing the motor. Those are probably hard to find.

I think the switch was also a convertible switch(50 amp) you can use a universal switch with a resetable fuse in it like the convertibles do since I think the wagons are high draw also. of course that's if the switch your talking about is the Dash switch. I don't know of any replacement for the keyed switch in the tailgate locking mechanism (were they there in the 63's?) you might want to contact (gotta go look up the name) be right back .... ok I'm back here is the name http://www.jsrestorations.com/
looks like he does excellent work , no I have not used him but did go to the web site a and looked on moparts.

rear motor might be able to be replaced with a later model power window motor if it's got the 3 bolt holes to mount the motor to the lift frame.

I had no problems with my tailgate motor prior to pulling the motor to do some sheet metal work on the gate. Now, it goes down, but not up.
The motor mechanism is clean and lubed, and an electric motor specialist looked over the motor and said it had no problem. The channels are clean.
Either there is not enough current getting back there, or........ If I recall, those channels have a little bit of adjustment, by a bolt at the bottom of the gate. Maybe leave those bolts loose, and run the motor......
