Hello, just joined and just got my first plymouth. 1963 Valiant Signet 200. I am having an incredibly difficult time decoding the fender tag.
Under the 1-0 in the first Line:
1:1
2:1
0:2
P
Second line, under the Letters:
A:1
B:2
H:3
L:1
Q:5
X:1
Last set:
SO: 0325
Number: 5024
Bdy: 142
Trim: 795
Pnt: MM1

VIN:1435147637

I appreciate any help.

Built at the LA plant March 25 1963 Should be Ivory w Red interior and bucket seats 2dr hardtop. The list I have for option codes does not include the LA plant maybe some one else will chime in with more info must be fairly highly option car if it has numbers in the top line of the tag.

Congrats on your '63 - I have one too. Bit unusual - at least here in Oz. Our '63's were quite different to yours and ours were only built as fordoor sedans.
Sorry that I can't help with the decoding, haven't even been able to do my own.
Enjoy your car
Gary

Thanks! I thought it must have been built in LA because under the rear seat was a tag that said assembled in Compton, LA. I was looking at the paint chip book from 63, and it doesn't list ivory, but ermine, is that the same?

Say, did you do a post in "The Welcome Wagon"?

Not yet, I'll head on over there.
