Hello FABO,
My 1963 Valiant has been retro-fit with power steering at some point. I replaced many needed ball joints, tie rod ends, pitman arm. Then had an allignment done (by someone who understood the old school cars).
So the car tracks well, but when I turn a sharp or gentle corner in either direction, the car won't correct itself. I have to manually turn the steering wheel back to straight.
I am wondering if this is possibly how some of the old units were, or is there still a problem?
I expect new ball joints can be stiff, but this seems odd to me.
Thanks for any input,
RJG
