just got back from Portland swap meet where I was told on a couple of occasions that my 63 canadien version is a dart with a valiant back end ,this was how they were manufactured. My car has round taillites and no emblem on the trunk its a signet 200 convertible. Can anybody tell me if this is true

Look up Canadian built 63 dart ,Shared front sheet metal including most trim with U. S. Valiant. (Canadian V-200 did not have "Valiant" nameplate on front fenders between wheel well and front edge of door. Canadian Signet had "Signet 200" emblems in same location as U. S.

Read this and it should help http://www.valiant.org/canada.html

thanks for the help will look into it some more.will all body panels be the same between the us and canadien model

Yes, I believe that you will find that memike is correct.
Chrysler Canada had a habit of having slightly different models to US Chrysler right back to the 30's and 40's.
We got lots of them here in Australia.
A couple of years ago a mate in my local car club showed me his "Valiant" convertible that he had just bought. He told me that someone had put Valiant front clip on a Dart. I knew it was a Canadian (although he had brought it in from Ca) and told him to Google it, just as you have been advised.
Your lucky, to have something just a bit different.
Enjoy it!
