I'm always keeping my eyes out for possible project cars, ford, chevy, or mopar.

I've yet to own any mopar, although I am biased towards Fords (sorry guys)

I found this poor thing by my house, it's been sitting a LONG time but apparently runs. It has no brakes though. The current owner has it at a gas station mechanic, the guy appears to do good work.

He was in the middle of swapping out the 4bbl intake for a six pack set up.

It currently has a 340 four speed out of a dart.

From what I saw:

The 70's puked all over it
Ugly diamond pleated interior
Shag carpet
Seats torn up
Headliner good.
All glass is good.
Rear leaf springs flat, has bad air shocks so the back of the car is sagging.
Hurst pistol grip shifter (really short throw!)
Apparently the rear end has been built up?
Looks to be an ex-drag car.

The car has side pipes, the inner fender apron was cut to make room for the headers. Very interesting.

Baseball sized rust hole in the trunk. Bottoms of the rear quarters are rotted out.

Mirrors are broken.

Body is straight.

Car doesn't have a very good case, but it's one of those cars that you just take a liking to.

What would be a fair price? I was thinking around $2500 assuming the guy makes it run in front of me.

Yeah, I kinda figured it was a pile.

I'm really tempted just to make it back into a drag car, who cares about how it looks? As long as it's fast!!

One of the reasons I want it is for the six pack setup and four speed... Like that's worth a bunch of money on its own! And it's friggen cool lol. I'm going to give the guy a call once he gets it running again and go from there.
