64 Barracuda hood

As I've been having problems aligning and realigning my hood, it turns out that the body man never put the clips back on that hold the hood brackets to the body. Both sides (brackets) came off the pins. I finally got the brackets back on the pins but I am having huge problems trying to get the clips back on. Has anyone dealt with putting these clips on without removing the fenders?

oh yea mine broke going back on so i drilled for a couter pin and washer.....hope this helps kenn
