Hello guys, Figured id start here!
Dont be thrown off by my love of power wagons, I love anything that turns tires!
Now im not here to really talk about my 74 w100 im building into a 426 wedge monster!
Though i dont mind shooting the scheisse about it!

What i am here to talk about is my little brother just got his dream car, a 64 and a half dodge dart with a 225 slant 6! I know, I know it needs a v8! Yet my brother is still learning to drive and doesnt need to be going fast, and i know you can run 10s if you put enough into a slant!

This poor old dodge has been sitting for "20" years according to the old guy i got it from. The guy who owned it before turned it into a "lowrider" what he did was loosen the torsion bars, dont worry its already sitting better!

I have been going through it with a fine tooth comb, poor car looks like someone jumped it. Had both shocks on driver side completely spent! Hell the rear one broke so hard it dented the tank! tank still holds, new heavy duty springs.

Im a v8 and v6 guy, so i know l6 is a very tough engine, the rods were perfect, actually besides the shocks, its actually pretty nice beside missing bolts for the alternator.
I initially thought it was gonna be a cake walk, the further i go, the more i find some horrid actions. thought a little RnR and a couple parts and it would be driving again.

While cleaning out some of the old chunky oil, i ended up letting the smoke out of one of the starter solenoid wires, looked at it and it had a tiny hole in the insulation. So it may be that, might be a bad VR,or it doesnt wire up like my dodge does.

Not really looking for HELP but i wouldnt mind some cents thrown my way by people used to this ol beauty. Like what should i watch out for when it comes to these old slants, since i have the 74 wiring setup on my 65 413 thats in my truck. already flushed the oil a couple times, mmo, atf, etc. got a few filters so thats not a big deal.

Hope to have some fun and learn some things, cause you can teach an old dog new tricks when were talking about old horses.

Hopefully im doing this right so that the comment section doesnt look like =>:mob:

Here's the starting point. My brother is on SSDI, so it might be a slow go, but hey we all started somewhere!
