i am currently working on a 65 cuda i have a 318 with a cracked block so i;m replacing the engine. i have a 383 hp out of a 69 super bee thats been bored .60 with police interceptor manifolds and new heads, shaved pistons and the whole nine yards, or should i use a 340 that;s been rebuilt with some good **** on it, with headers what would you guys do?:cheers:

I went with the 340 in mine, thus avoiding the front end buildup. Allthough there is no "replacement for displacement", not hacking up the car makes more sense to me. The 340 is lighter with the same (if not more) horsepower, and will be easier to maintain. Just my .02.
