Hi Folks,

We have a '65 Barracuda that has the front tires wearing badly in the inside. Not sure, but I may have to replace some front end parts as this car has been neglected for many years. So I am wandering which parts are likely to be worn to give this kind of tire wear on the inside of the front tires. Also, how much money am I looking at? I know I am not giving you all enough to really pin this down for me, but I am just looking for some ball park ideas as to what I am in for.

Thanks for your comments,

Rick

It's probably a toe-in problem and could be aggravated by loose front end parts. I spent the money years ago and rebuilt the front end complete. Not cheap but I have enjoyed 10 years of trouble free driving. tmm

Could be toe or camber out of alignment. Or...it could be worn front end components.

I might start by taking it to a shop that is familiar with old school alignments. We had one in Virginia Beach that was superb with alignments on these old girls.

They could do an alignment and have a look at the front suspension and steering components for you.

Here are a couple good links to a front suspension rebuild.
