Anyone know of any good places to start looking for a nice driver quality front bumper? It seems like there's nothing online...I don't want to rechrome mine because the car is a bit of a beater, but the front bumper is bent up and has the kind of rust that I can't clean up using the traditional chrome cleaning resources.

I have to wonder if a decent original bumper is better choice especially for a driver?????? finding one local is a problem and shipping is costly? I was at Missouri yard yesterday with 900 mopes.

I'm in mid-Michigan...I agree on the good original, because a rechromed bumper would look WAY out of place on this thing. I think I'm going to stick with the beat up look on this car, but the front bumper is detracting from it overall. Does that Missouri yard have a phone number? Shipping would suck, but I'd have to ship a chromed bumper anyway, and the chances of my finding one locally are really, really low. Stuff rusts pretty badly here! :)

clay and sons, edge of st Louis. clayton Kossuth 314-578-7866 cell
of course any bumper for it is what 50 yrs old!!!!
a rechromed bumper is only as good as the workmanship and materials that go in it, too.
I have done business with bumpers boyz yearsd ago with good results, but the test is find one of their customers that their rechroje as stood theIr test of time!?
for a driver I would look at the best old one I could find if me.
whne I paint one of my "drivers" I keep the old ones that look out of place but I can't afford rechomed ones anyway!! LOL

I have an extra, if you are interested in driving to Tecumseh, MI. It's not rusty or bent but the finish is dull, You can have it.

Oh my gosh...I was just in Tecumseh yesterday! My aunt moved there and I helped unload her truck. I'm sure I can get down over the next month or two, and if not, my mom and dad will. Can you hold onto it for a bit? I'll take it...I'll send you a PM.

No problem.

Man, Tim (breakstuff) came through with not only a bumper that is better than my old one, but also a bunch of odds and ends for the Dart. Cool guy! Thanks!

The Dart looks a lot better now.
