Can I install a small block without changing the steering link or will I need a drop link center?

most will tell you that you need the drop link but in my case (64 with /6 to 360 swap) i raised the motor instead. put 3/8" pieces of steel plate under the motor mounts with holes for bolts and it got me plenty of clearance over the steering link.

What size V8?273,318,340,360.Exhaust will be a problem depending on shifter colunm,4 speed?
