What does the BBS that would be on this car look like, and does anyone have one for sale?

I'm new to slant sixes and it seems there are quite a few variants of the Carter BBS depending on the year/engine/weather and what someone had for lunch.

The car my son and I bought (65 Valiant) had a re-man BBS on top of it. Not sure how long it's been sitting but the accelerator pump "well" is corroded and the plunger doesn't ride the sides very well. Not sure how good it's going to function like that.

Anyway, this thing has the wrong screws holding it together (no threads near the head) main body screw holes appear to have been drilled to fit the wrong screws, flanges are slightly bent etc. Sort of an aluminum horror story if I have my info right.

So the question is, what would be a good replacement "look like" in terms of a 65 170?

I have a 69 Dart project with a 225 and a 1920 holley I wouldn't mind giving up but I'd rather keep it simple for now.

I welcome corrections if any of my info or assumptions are wrong, this is supposed to be a learning experience so bring it on.
