I would like to buy a 65 Valiant Signet grille. Must be for a Signet with the round circle around the V. Also, would like the 65 Valiant signet fender emblems. Would also like for a 65 Valiant:

front fender lower rear doglegs (sheet metal).
front bumper.
convertable top in black.
rear quarter sheetmetal behind the front door.
tail lights.
any other reasonably priced spare parts or parts cars.

I will look to see if I have the.65 signet fender emblems. I have the small fins that go on top of the fenders I think.

I came across come 63 Valiant taillight recently. Maybe we can make a trade.
I would love the scripts and th eparts on top of the front fenders. Grille anyone? The taillights I would have to see a pic of them.

I have a pair of 65 taillight bezels that are quite nice plus a rechromed passenger side bezel. I may have a brand new Valiant convertible top - i'll have to double check on that.

65 Dartman. Check on the top and get back to me. Make sure it is for a 65 Valiant. Dart won't work and neither will some other years, not sure. The tail lights sound like a possibility.

Yep the Dart one won't fint a Valiant and vice versa. I bought the top for my Dart for future use and found out later it was for a Valiant. At the time it was no big deal since I also had a 65 Valiant 'vert. It's long gone now. I'll try to get to the storage in the next day or so and make sure I still have it. I have the re-chromed taillight bezel listed in the exterior parts for sale; haven't done the pair of bezel yet.

Here is what I have so far. Rt dog leg cut where you want it, 1/4 panel patch front section, fender scripts and top fins, front bumper, tail lights complete nice lenses.

sounds like you got pretty much everything so far - but this car has very clean front fenders. One is dented, but no apparent rot spots at all. Have already pulled and bought the V-200 dash and side flank trims.

2Manymopars... Sounds good... sent you an email.
65Dartman... Check on that 65 Vert top and let me know.
Newmexguy... I don't want to cut up a good sent of fender, but may buy them to put on whole if they are cheap enough.

Thanks guys.

I thought the top was in my storage building so tore it apart this afternoon looking for it. Nope, it was sitting in the spare bedroom (aka The Computer Room) closet. It was made by Kee Auto Tops out of Charlotte NC. The label states it's black and for a 65/66 Valiant and Signet and is still factory (or company) packed in the original box

65Dartman..
That looks promising, but I worry that I'd have no recourse if it doesn't work when ever I get around to working on the top, which may be a long way away. How much did you want for it? Please PM me.

The emblems & tail lights are repro'd by Laysons. You do realize the standard & Signet grilles are identical with the exception that the Signet has a cutout in the middle for the emblem? You can make a Signet grille out of any standard 65 by (carefully!) making the cutout & adding the emblem.

395 Signet.
No, I didn't know that since I have not seen a Signet grille in about 20 years. So all I have to do is carefully cut on out? Might someone out there have a picture of the center of the grille both with and without the center emblem in it? I believe that I may have a center emblem in my parts stash somewhere from years ago.
As for Laysons, Do they have a good part and do they get them too you? I have bought things from them in person at swap meets, but NEVER through the mail. I have heard to many bad things about them not for filling their orders. Thanks for any input.

Finding a decent grille is a bit hard I've found, they're usually pretty well battered as my original was. I really lucked out, was wandering at the parts section of Carlisle, vendor Tony D has all kinds of grilles laid out. He has 2 NOS 65 Valiant grilles, one for Signet & one standard. Some guy in front of me sees the Signet one & immediately buys it so I stop him & ask if he'll resell it to me for more than he paid & he says nothing doing. I bought the other one ($125 which I thought was a decent price) & was surprised to see there's no difference except for the cutout. I used my original for a template but all you have to do is cut it so it almost touches the center chrome piece, the back part of the emblem bolts on & locks everything in place. I used tin snips.

Thanks for the pictures. I have a center medallion, but I don't have the ring that apparently goes in back of it to squeeze it to the grille. I believe I can make it work by making something when the time comes to put the grille on the car. Thanks again.
