65lbs too much?

My 360 runs at 65 lbs pressure after 2000 RPM is this too much or normal?

Oil pressure? Yes, 65 PSI is certainly adequate.

It goes up at idle. ?????..methinks you have a wonky guage...your oil pressure should go down at idle...

There is nothing wrong with that pressure J-G. I like it a little higher at idle but there is nothing wrong with what you have.

I'm running about 30 psi in gear on 10W-30 at idle when very hot (195F on a 90 degree day). Idle oil pressure is a little low but nothing to worry about.

I've read in magazines that 10 lbs. per 1000 RPM is fine. There were even drag cars running 35 psi of oil pressure @ 6000 RPM "thru the lights"!! If you think about it, lower pressure is less parasitic drag on the engine......more power.
