Hello, I am in Houston.
I am not new to mopars, have had 2 coronets, an ebody Polara (which I loved!), a full size van, and a D150 truck.
I recently bought a '66 Dart with a slant 6. The car is in fairly good shape (no major dents, the obligatory rust is there on the back quarters, headliner good, seats good, runs decent.)
I really like the simplicity of the slant six!
I am by no means a mechanic - But I have replaced components, and engines. I want to make this car my daily driver for years.
I just bought the Polygraphite front end kit. Hope I dont have problems with that. I also bought the sway bars and new shocks. I dont think i need the shocks but figured I would go ahead since they were discounted b/c of the other purchases.
I am reading on here about the scarbird conversion. I have 9" drums. I do not know about proportioning valves but will read up on them. As I think the main thing I need/want to do is ensure the car can stop. I also think it is alot easier to replace pads then shoes. I wrecked a coronet once due to brakes and never want to repeat that experience.
Well getting kinda long better go for now.
Thanks for having me aboard. I look forward to learning lots!!!!
