The story goes like this. I've never worked on a classic car till Bossman was inherited a '66 barracuda, just recently I noticed the tie rod ends were junk, and the shocks were very weak, in this process I figured taking the wheel off would make things much easier. I have never been schooled or knew of the left handed thread lug nuts on the driver side... yup, broke 2 of them before realizing this fact. So trying to find a fix was impossible besides trying to contact some people who have them laying around. Mistake #2... I pressed them out like a standard stud... didn't know about them swage locking?? Them... well the hub ended up being .590. They don't make a 7/16-20 RH stud for that fix. So me and Bossman put our brains to work and we came up with a 1/2-20 stud with a .609 knurl (610-481.1) and lucky for us I work and he owns a machine shop. Turned the stud down and threaded 7/16-20 LH and they pressed in like a gem. So if u think its the end of the world for your LH stud just find the right machine shop.

I just switched mine out with an extra passenger side one I had, then tapped out the rears and put RH ones on the part side as well!! Geof

That was a thought but since I was an idiot to the swage lock, I made the hole too big for any 7/16-20 stud to work, the biggest knurl we could find was .570. I also read many people wanting to keep the LH thread but have resorted to having to change em all out to RH thread
