66 formula s stripe color

I want to put the stripe back on my 66 formula s. The car is dark green and has paint code 999. I do not know how to tell what color the stripe was as it has been repainted. Would like to put a gold stripe on it. The interior is black. My questions are, with the black interior could you get a gold stripe? and, I do want the stripe to be correct, how do I match the paint color for the stripe? Any thoughts are appreciated.

The info is on-line, I found this for my 67:

Does the 999 mean the car was ordered with a non-standard paint color? Seem to remember reading that on here somewhere.

999 = special order paint. Sand it down and see what it was.
