I'm getting ready to remove the k-member from my 66 Valiant how does the steering colomb come loose from the steering box, I know there is a roll pin there do you have to knock it out to remove, Any help is appreciated :banghead:
 
It has manual steering, I thought it had nut and bolt also but all I can find is the roll pin.
 
Did they start that in 66? I pulled the manual shaft in my Valiant out of a 64 Dart and it has the bolt/nut collar that you tighten. These darned Chryslers!! LOL

Not sure but all the 66 ones I have messed with had the pin, maybe some came with a bolt, anything is possible lol
 
That's the truth there any thing is possible, ill soak it good with some PB blaster and knock it out tommarow
