67/68 Dart Fender Head light bucket

I have a 67 dart that I'm working on the front end. For the drivers side I have a 67 fender and on the passenger side I have a 68 fender. The head light grill trim from the 67 will not fit the 68 fender. The 2 screws that go through from the front do not line up with the plastic mounts in the fender. Anyone fix one of these before?

There was a guy on here that did something similar and when I asked him about your situation, his reply was to just drill new holes and everything will line up fine.
