I have a 1967 B body 833 (aluminum tag says 9-15-66, but tailshaft has 12-17-6? cast in it...I assume 65) It has the later splined output shaft. I'm thinking of selling but would like to know what it came out of. Is there anyway to tell on these early ones?

Some of the manual ID methods:
Front yoke diameter, the mounting flange that goes into the bell housing, where the 4 bolts are.
Tail shaft shifter mounting,and location
Input shaft spline count
ID stamping pad on right side of tranny 68> have ID codes
casting number from the case, tail shaft, shifter cover,
casting date on case
Material for case and tail shaft
gear ratio if it comes down to that
pictures to make sure it,s a 4 speed and not a 3 speed

I'm aware of all of that info I was just hoping there was some way of figuring out what kind of car it came out of to hopefully aid in selling it?
