Can someone please tell me how to remove the trim on the out side edge of the doors? The piece if the car was in the sun for an hour or so would burn your arm if you rolled down windows and stick arm out.

Sounds like it's the outer window felt. It's held in with screws that you might be able to unscrew with the window all the way down. There still might be one or two you can't get to since the window might be in the way so you may have to remove the door glass.

Yeah screws is what held them on a 68 Charger I once had. You have to pop off the felt first.

I posted a picture of the stainless trim in question just to make 100% we are talking about the same piece. I can see the two screws for the piece in the back, but I dont see any screws for the piece on the drivers door.

I don't believe you will see the screws until you remove the felt strips whick clip on. If I remember correctly I had to buy one of those L shaped philp screw drivers to get to the screws.

You're just talking about the stainless trim on top of the door? It's held by about 4 or 5 spring clips. You just need to get under one end of it and pry until each clip pops out.

That's right I remember now. The spring clips slide off of the end of the trim so I could get the stuff buffed up real good. But there was some that I had to remove screws of that Charger. Just gently pry up from one side to the other.

Thanks for posting the picture. I was thinking of another trim piece that your car would have had if it didn't have the bigger piece shown. Ignore my earlier post.

I looked at mine today and you do not have to remove the felt. Take piece of wood like a shim and pry up on it and it will pop off.
