67 Dart Heat A/C cable

I know where the cable attaches from the heat and vac switch on the dash-- but does it run between the heater and ac where they attach or on the top of the heater and a/c box. I know that it make a difference. My maintenance manual does not indicate where it runs just where the cable ends attach. Thanks for your assistance.

I just put my 65 back together. I don't see how it could go anywhere but on top. The slide control on the dash is higher than the top of the heater box and the attachment point on the heater box is on the top. Seems like you'd be going out of your way to drop down between them.

Maybe later years are different, but I bought a 1970 heater box at the junk yard is it's the same size and shape as the 65.

Thanks Ron. I grew up in Southern California-Temple City to be exact. Lived there until the age of 36 and then moved to Norther California. In 1995 My job with the government took me to Florida.
