EVERYTHING I do becomes obtuse and over-complicated. I THOUGHT it was simplified a few years ago when I bought a low-miles 98 V6 Ranger. But the cam sensor died. STILL do not have it fixed

I still had the old 86 Ranger, and finally sold it, then decided I better get a beater to replace it. So I bought a beater, 280K miles, 96 Ranger for 900 bucks. Now it SEEMS to run OK and SEEMS to have good power..........until you put a trailer behind it. Hell the old 2.9 86 would out pull the thing

SO this week I got serious about looking, and bought this 97 1500, 5.2, 2wd, AC, no cruise, no power windows. The damn thing runs!!! and steers!!! and stops!!! about as good as you could ask. It's got 180 K on the clock.

So I've been to Spokane and back TWICE, that's TWO round trips. One to bring the PU over, and one to take the former owners back to town

Paid 1200 cash for the thing. Took the owner, paperwork and all right into the Coeur d Alene licensing joint, and proceeded to walk out of there about FIFTEEN MINUTES later!!! (100 bucks poorer)

THEN I ran all over town and bought a 67 Dakota shop manual for 20 bucks

AND bought t he hemi intake / computer (for the 5.7 I just bought) for 50 bucks!!!!

Boy am I BEAT. About 5:30PM here I feel like I could just go right to sleep.

Now I have to start getting the beater Ranger ready to sell!!
