Restoring a 67 GTS, can anyone help with the hole placement for the GTS letters & the 383 four barrel emblem on the front fenders? If someone would have a original GTS fender without the emblems on it that you could take pics of with a tape measure in the pic that would be great

Looks like the GTS part is centered on the body ridge.

Also centered below the radio antenna passenger side.

Thanks for the info. I am hoping to find something with some kind of measurements for the holes just so I know they are in the right place Thanks again Dave

I'm in the same boat.

I have a 383 FOUR BARREL emblem and G T S letters coming

I have measured from a buddies real GTS the spacing to the center of the T to the rear edge of the fender along the body line and I get 6.5 to 6.6 (this in in CAD based off scaled photos)

Drivers side - the dimension of 6.584 is what it came out to based on the photo being scales (locked aspect ratio) to the size of the business card

The photo I took on the passenger side was not the best ( skewed and the tape covers the width of the card) BUT without any manipulation (I scaled the photo, placed the lines and then took the measurement) it came out to the same dimension to 3 decimal places

and it does seem to be ALMOST aligned under the antenna

NOW some things that concern me about this particular placement is the T seems to be lower than the top of the G and S and the 383 Four Barrel seems to be closer to the Letters than in the other photos posted
red line shows the top of the T lower
Blue Line shows the angle of the G and T are really close but the S seems off?

The spacing of the GTS seems about the same as the other photos

GTS letters always look a little off to me.

The original post was for a 1967 big block dart which is different from 68. I'm pretty sure the 67 had the GT badge without the letter "S" accompanying it. This information is from my memory. Maybe someone has better documentation.

Just learned that memory is failing as it has come to my attention that yes the 67 big block emblems (GTS) are much the same as 68. Sorry for any confusion.

Is your car a known original?
Not mine, pic I took recently.
I struggled as well on my 67 383, fenders were not original and could not find anyone who could make a template.

Iirc someone eventually gave me measurements and it matched all the pics I could find online.

Recently took a pic of completely restored cars, one looked lower than all the other pics I collected at the time, one looked similar to mine, the other cannot be correct.

It's difficult without a consistent accurate template, and in my case no antenna.

It is hard to get good data unless the original owner or the child of an original owner who can confirm that the car has original fenders can chime in.

With CAD I can overlay several photos and see what's the same and different. From that get a consensus of placement. Once I get my GTS letters I'll have a good start on placement

I'm making some progress...

The S is tough as the upper vertical part of the S is not parallel to the lower vertical part and makes it look funky.

I'm comfortable with the spacing between the GTS and the 383 FOUR BARREL AT .75"

Im making a hard plastic template that I will be able to put in the fender over the style line and center punch the hole centers.

They could have made it so much easier if all the posts were in the same location or vertical on each letter. Oh well that's Mopar for you.

I'm still looking for a distance to the center of the T from the fenders door edge at the style line, from a personally known OEM 67-68 GTS fender

Guarantee the original cars emblems/letters are skewed, restored cars are measured to perfection.

I imagine the process to put in the holes is somewhat standardized, and as accurate and precise as not at all.

I have 2 sets of 383 FOUR BARREL emblems. One used the press in retainers the other used the screw on nuts. I figure the screw on nuts would have a larger hole so a little wiggle room but the press in had to be spot on. In 67 being a mid year add on I bet the fender was drilled as needed, but in 68 it probably was stamped when the fender was manufactured.

I'll buy that. 67 is an oddball, some similarities to 66, some to 68, first year of the big block, and the bb wasn't until late in the model year.

Earliest bb 67 Barracuda I know of is March 67, iirc.
