'67 hood inserts

I read in a restoration guide that the inserts had black accents.I am looking to have mine rechromed but I can not see where there is any black on mine. Where is the black accent supposed to be or are they supposed to be all chrome? Also has anyone had any work done at New England Chrome Plating and if so, did they do a good job?

Assuming you are talking about Barracuda inserts since there are no 67 Dart inserts. No black in the Barracuda inserts.

Now do you have a 67 dart with a bulge hood and you are looking for the plastic gasket that goes behind the inserts?Mrmopartech

I have a 67 barracuda and they also have plastic gaskets, mine are broken in spots. Do you have the gaskets?

Normally I make the black plastic gasket out of some lengths of plastic I find and cut to measure,Mrmopartech

Alot of people just use clear RTV around the edge of the inserts. Works great for keeping water from creaping under them. No fuss.....apply and let it set up.
