on front of block DW34023020324. Date on block 6/21/67

It needs work but thought it might be someone’s match

Post the VIN should be on the pan rail if it has one. Pretty sure they started putting VIN on in 67. 65'

68 vin will be on the bell right side, I had 2 and they both had them

Yep, bell for partial VIN during the '68 model year.

The number posted above is the engine serial number on the front of the block, it was stamped upon final assembly of the engine itself.

That was done well before the engine & transmission were VIN stamped to go into a car.
