68-69 tail panel clips

If you need tail panel clips and figure out that they were made different from the factory, your still good to go. This is what I did.

Knock out the stud, and come through on the other side. Use a nut to hold it center and tack weld it. Do this for all 14 clips and your golden. The reason you need to do this is that the panel sticks out too far and looks horrible.

The first pic is a factory clip and the rest shows what to do to get them to fit right.

The ones you fixed are they new replacements? If so where did you get them as I need some.
 
Yes. Classic industries or 521 Restorations. They are listed as 68-69 RR or 69 Barracuda.
 
Just moving this to the top as I see people are in need of these clips.
 
on it, thanks I also have been having clip problems//rear sail panel stainless trim....found a clip at NAPA that works will post
