I've decided to shelve plans for a console shifter for my 68 cuda the time being, now looking for non-console shifter. Can you buy these new anywhere?

Not sure if you can buy them new. Check with Year One or Laysons or even 4 speed specialists like Passon and Brewers.

You can always have a stock one rebuilt and the handle rechromed. That is what I did. Reproduction shifter balls are available as well.

My 68 Formula S 383 convertable came with an Inland shifter. To keep it stock looking I bought a modified Hurst Competion Plus shifter from Passons that excepts the Inland shift lever. I'd contact Passons and see what they have, great guys to talk to, Joe.

I agree with Rarefish. Jamie at Passon is a great guy to work with.

I've got a console for a four speed from a 67 cuda and the inland shifter to go with it. Only problem will be the shippingcost. If you're interested just let me know.

Best regards,

Antoon

Thanks for thinking of me Antoon, but I've already got the console (base that is, not toplate) and a repro Hurst console shifter from Brewers. Going with non-console for the moment as it will cost me less to complete than buying the extra components needed to complete the console set-up

Cheers,

Steve
