Finally got the grill installed this past week, after installing a new engine bay wiring loom (from Yr One @ $175 USD) and plugging in the headlights. The grill resto has been a long process, had the usual dings as well as splits in the outer edges of the headlight bezels. After aluminium welding the splits and knocking out the dings and polishing I eventually had the grills chrome plated when anodising didnt work (wouldnt take to the welded areas as the grade of alum. was different). Managed to get the headlight bezel and rest of the grill lined up reasonably well, only a very slight gap on one side. Instead of painting the black stripe around the grill and struggling to mask it straight I used 1/4 inch body stripe, which gave a perfect and consistent line.
