I have a 68 Dart GT for sale. I’ve owned it for about 2 years now. It is a factory air car but the only things left are the controls and the evaporator. I do have a full dash from a blue car that has the under dash stuff on it. The correct heater box is there too. It comes with a center console that was butchered by a previous owner to install a B&M reverse manual shifter and the valve body was installed also. The buckets need recovering but the back seat is nice. The guages all work but the gas guage goes to ¾ when you turn on the headlights. The turn signals work but the dash indicators are messed up. I think it may be a ground problem but I’m not sure. There are a lot of extra wires run because a previous owner had nitrous installed also. The line from the trunk to the engine compartment is still there and I have the bottle bracket too. The battery is mounted in the trunk. All lights work except the reverse lights which I believe aren’t wired to the switch on the trans. The car has had the old carpet taken out but the new has not been installed. There were a couple of small holes under the drivers side that have been repaired with fiberglass cloth and then the entire floor was painted with 2 coats of zero rust and sound deadening installed over that. The trunk floor is as solid as it gets and was also painted with 2 coats of zero rust. The rear wheel wells have holes and the lower quarters look to have been filled with bondo and are starting to bubble. The rest of the car is straight and solid but there is some bubbling under the vinyl top. The windows roll up and down easily. The car has a very well built 360 in it with an M2 manifold and a huge cam. I don’t know the specs. It is coupled to a built 904 and an 8 ¾ sure grip with 410 gears. The tires are rotated with ease. There is also a huge aluminum radiator in it and the car never gets over 185 degrees no matter what the temp is outside. Things I’ve done are new leaf springs, new KYB shocks all around, new idler arm, pitman arm,PST poly front end rebuild kit which is installed except for the upper control arm bushings, new upper and lower ball joints, Summit Racing 2.5” exhaust, new rear brake shoes and I believe wheel cylinders. If the car sits you have to get the gas pumped back through the line before it will start but if you drive it every day it starts up with one pump of the gas. The car will probably need a steering box as it is sloppy. The dash pad has a hole where the previous owner mounted a tach. I have a clear title and the car is registered and insured if anyone wants to come see it and drive it. I love this car. I owned a 68 Dart GTS with a 340 and 4 speed back in the 70s. The reason I’m selling is with 5 bad discs in my back and previously haven broken my back I just can’t do this kind of work anymore. I want to try to find something that looks decent and runs well enough to just drive and enjoy. Feel free to ask questions. I asking $5500 for the car.
Thanks,
Frank

I will post pics of underneath as soon as I can get the car on a lift. This is a very solid car. Anyone can come and see the car locally. This car is a runner.

A short video of the car running. More video footage coming soon.

Some friends told me the burnout video link didn't work. Hopefully it will work now.

Frank`s just showing us that indeed, the tires can be rotated with ease:yawinkle: wheel chock not included.
Good luck with the sale Frank:thumrigh:

Thanks for the good luck wish. I appreciate it. Yes. There is no wheel chock needed. This car screams. I can't afford to have the metal work done and my back won't allow me to do it myself, so rather than just let her sit, I figured someone else could give her a good home and finish up the work she needs.

I have to admit that I've watched it quite a bit too. Believe me. It was much more fun making the video than it is watching it. LOL!!!

I might be just "sic" but I really like the sound of the exhaust starting right at 0:10 of the video. me loco

bump

All the extra wire mess has been removed. It's a much cleaner look now. This is a very solid car and runs excellent.

Was offered $4850 for the car but the guy disappeared. I'm now considering a local offer for $4700. Hit me with any offers in between. This is a great running car and pretty darned solid. It is also a factory air car but the underhood stuff is gone before I got it. It would make a great winter project.
