68 dart gts hood inserts color and chrome question

hey guys i am looking at a used set of 68 dart gts hood inserts. Can someone tell me if between the 4 chrome oval parts is it painted .These are oem parts. If some one can post a close up pic of some inserts that would be great thanks.

Do you know how lucky you are to find a set of these? I have been looking for almost two years with no sucess! Good luck with paint colors, and show us what you got when they are done!

Seems they were painted redish/orange.

They should be Red or Red-orange on the inside of the raised sections.
They outer part of the raised sections should be an argent silver color. Mine are reproductions and dont have the argent, they are chrome. On the originals only the top edge of the raised sections was chrome.
Hope that makes sense.

Buy the ones from Mike at BE&A, he applys the argent coating and PG does not. You will not be disappointed. Andrew
