I need a replacement heater control/radio bezel for my Dart. Let me know what you have and what you want for it. I need one with no cracks and one that isn't all warped. The condition of the paint/chrome doesn't matter...as long as the plastic is in good shape. A picture would be nice too. Thanks
That's actually a 69 (maybe late 68, but I don't know). Every 68 that I have seen has a single screw in the middle below the radio with 69 having a screw at each lower corner.
Just using google images I'm seeing a lot of variations in the dash bezels. I'm seeing one with the upper holes on either side of the radio with one down below in the center. I'm also seeing one with two holes on either side of the radio on the bottom with no holes on either side up top. Then there's one like mine with holes on either side of the radio on top and on bottom. There is even a variation in the gauge bezel...one with black around the gauge opening and one with chrome around the gauge opening.
My GTS was absolutely original when we bought it in 1983 and it had the single lower screw. It is also a convertible with an SPD of 8/28/67, so it is an early car, but not so early to have a 67 dash, which I have seen in a 68 GTS.
I'm not saying your wrong. I'm just trying to learn. This is my first A-body. The car sat for 20 years in Nevada. It says 42,000 on the dash and I think it might be accurate. The car was complete when I bought it.
It's not going back stock though so it really doesn't matter. As long as I can find one that's not broken I'll be happy.
What cars had the chrome gauge surround? I like that look better then the black.
