'68 Engine Color

I am in the process of building a new engine for my '68 Dart...340 stroked to 416 and I am wondering what color to paint it. I think red is the correct color for a 340 in 1968. Can someone please confirm? I really like the orange but I'm kinda leaning towards the "original", "sleeper" look. Thoughts/opinions?

Yes, chrysler red is the correct color for a 1968 340.

Agreed. 68 was definitely red. But be careful with the spray cans of "Chrysler Red" as they tend to be too bright to be the correct color. Actually, International Harvester Red was a perfect match back in the day.
