'68 GTS Trunk Panel/Grille Factory Color

I'm having my trunk finish panel and grille professionally redone and the person doing the work wants to know if he should leave the nice argent color that resulted from anodizing or lightly paint each panel's accents in silver. He is matching it to pictures of GTS grilles/finish panels that I found online but can't tell whether the factory color was sprayed on or not. Which is it?

Painted silver argent in the center square only,kinda follows the pattern to match up with the reverse lights.
Heres an original(Not for sale,Sorry)unless someone wants to pay huge $$$ money for it.

Thanks for the speedy reply....I think you're the guy I bought my trunk finish panel from last month. If so, panel was in great shape and super restorable!!

Same guy,Glad it got to you in good shape.
The silver paint actually has a texture finish to it.
