69 340 Rod Casting Number Questions

I have 7 different connecting rods from a 69 340 with these casting numbers:
DF21 MS3049 2899496 (#1 Rod)
DF19 MS3049 2899496 (#2 Rod)
DF22 MS3049 2899496 (#3 Rod)
DF22 MS3049 2899496 (#4 Rod)
DF21 MS3049 2899496 (#6 Rod)
DF20 MS3049 2899496 (#7 Rod)
DF21 MS3049 2899496 (#8 Rod)


Does anyone know what these numbers mean? I could only find info on BB connecting rods...

I'm going to take a swag that the DF number refers to the forging die that was used to pound out the rod. If there are any problems with the forging the manufacturer could trace the part back to the faulty die and fix it.
