69 Barracuda grille disassembly

How do you separate the outside chrome trim from the plastic housing? Do you have to drill out the rivets? Don't see how rivets could be holding chrome bezels to the plastic. Thanks for any help from those that have done this.

The chrome trim on the grilles is chrome plated plastic also, I think its not rivets but swaged plastic tabs.

Thanks, so the chrome pot metal outer surrounds have cast-in rivets that are peened over to the plastic grill housings? To reassemble you epoxy them back together?

Outer chrome trim on these grilles are pot metal and the thin inner trim is anodized aluminum. It is very odd that they are riveted and not screwed on.
