69 dart fuseable link

My old harness under the hood was toast even the fuse link was shot and by past.I got my new harness,now any ideas what kills the fuseable link.I would hate to install it and have the link short out is there things I should look for befor I install the + terminal.Thanks.

a short to ground would take it out...

Take a look at the recent "Fixing the fusable link" postings. This has a diagram that may be of some help in finding the problem, if you still have a short to ground. Good luck.
