its time to restore the grill on the dart.Looking for pictures of how some have been painted.i could go with the way it came or do something different.so show me you 69 dart grill and give me some ideas on what to paint

Ive got an untouched original stored away, that was factor painted "swinger" style. GT and GTS were painted differently. I can post a pic tomorrow...

Wait for 3404speed's picture, but the Swinger grill was painted like this:
ONLY the vertical bars of the grill are black, and all the horizontal bars are left bright.
The GTS and GT grill are more difficult to explain in text, but basically the whole grill was blacked out with the exception of one horizontal bar, but it ran all the way around the grill in 2 sections; one above the center bar, and one below, forming a "box" around the upper and lower sections.

Once 3404speed posts his picture, I'm going to print it out and repaint my Swinger grill to match it. I painted mine like the GTS because it was a lot less work, but I think the Swinger grill paint style will be more appropriate for the car.
I used car pinstripe tape to mask off the bars last time, and although it worked OK, it barely covered the bars, so I need to find something just a little wider to mask off the horizontal bars, or else I'll have to paint all the vertical bars with a brush by hand.

sounds good George looking forward to the pic from 340.I plan to use spray paint stripper today on the grill and bezels.did this once on a 69 grill and work out fine.I may do the black out paint sceam, but was hoping maybe something different.Thanksssss boys.GO Leafs GO

Stripped one on my Dart and a Swinger style, and a GT/S style...the paint is a bit faded, but I'm sure you can see the diff. These grills can leave a lot to imagination, to get a meaner look with the right amount of black and some red/orange or other color.
Have fun!

Thanks for the pix 3404speed.
Snake-
Painting the grill itself is not too much of a big deal. BUT, the headlight bezels are a ***** to get to look right.
Good Luck with yours.
