69 dart seat belts

hey guys can seat belts be dyed or painted an other color, there blue in good cond. but i would like them black. may be a dum question.

You can dye them. Blue to black should be easy. Get some good dye from an autoparts store...SEM.. is one brand that comes to mind.

I decided to find some used ones from some where, going to look local pick a parts

My black belts had faded to a greenish color over time.
I had all of them rewebed at a local upholstery shop. the material was 7.25 per yard. total cost was 70.00. Reloading the retracter took a little while to figure out.

I noticed at Moparfest that all the seat belts looked green/blue. I guess thats what the sun does to belts over 40 years.
