I'm preparing to put a stripe on my newly painted swinger.
I'm concerned that a flat black stripe will be a pain to maintain during waxing. Is that a valid concern?
Also, suggestions on the best material and manufacturer?
Looking for any info you can provide.

Thanks in advance!

I just applied a stripe to my son's Swinger the week of Carlisle. It's a gloss stripe and that seems to be the same stripe on most of the cars there. It's not incredibly glossly but if you prefer a flat stripe I would avoid waxing the stripe. It may not have any effect, as it does not on my 2020 Charger Daytona, but I also don't purposely wax the stripe on it either.

As far as manufacturer, I spoke with several folks at the show and most had the same opinion. The stripes are short and don't cover all the way down to the bottom of the quarter panel. Phoenix and Performance Car Graphics seems to be the go to companies for the kits. I purchased a new kit from PCG at the show as I am not happy with the stripe I recently applied.

So what stripe are you not happy with? Was it a stripe from Phoenix or PCG?

The one I installed was purchased years ago from an individual. It was straight and didn't have the 'v' in the trunk stripe. This throws off the sides and the reflectors are centered in the stripe as they should be.

I don't remember who I got my 68 stripes from but it went to **** after a couple of years. I wound up painting one on it and a GSS decal with some 3M material. Pic is side stripe painted. Trunk is old stripe.

Again, I would recommend Phoenix.
They've been around a long time. Have great a product . And fit perfectly on my Duster.
And they're a sponsor here. May get s discount, not sure
