69 ford vin decoder????

Does anybody know of where I can decode the vin from my dad's 69 Ford Xl, ...He sold it back in 76 and we are currently trying to relocate it...I have the vin and have asked for vehicle history and title registry from my state dmv but they are SLOW....and right now im trying to just find as much info on it as possible. I've searched and searched but can't find any pre 1981 vin decoders for a 69 ford galaxie XL...thanks alot

Have you tried any Ford boards? I know you said you searched but surely someone on one of the Ford boards would know how. You might have better results there. If you don't know of any good Ford boards just google and see what happens. That's how I found this one. You might also try the yahoo boards.
