69 GTS factory tach

I have come across a console tach from a 69 GTS. My car has factory air that hangs under the dash. Was the optional tach available with an air car? Will it fit fit between the console and the unit?

According to this, the tach was not offered on AC cars....

I suppose you could mount it closer to the shifter if you wanted to use it...
