If anyone is looking for a 6x9 8ohm speaker to go in the dash but doesn't want to pay $80 for a "authentic" reproduction, I found a inexpensive (cheap) alternative. Twisted Quarter in Sarasoto, Fl has 6x9 8ohm 15 watt speakers that go in arcade games that fit. They're only $9.99. I put one in my '64 Dart. The only problem I had was the magnet is bigger than the stock one so I enlarged the mounting holes so the magnet would clear the firewall. If I still had the dash out I could have dimpled the firewall but it cleared OK. Their web site is Twisted Quarter.com, phone is 941-745-8400 and the part # is SPR 69. The owner said he sells a lot of them to car guys.
